16.08.09--Downtime by Ben
Boretz was premiered by mdf at Recital Hall West, Sydney Conservatorium
of Music as part of the New Music Network Solo Perspectives series. We are
working towards a new version of the piece for piano and percussion for
premiere in 2010!
RECENT EVENTS>
06.05.09--Message from Sirius
at Brisbane Powerhouse turned out to be a well attended show, guest
performer's Tristram Williams (quarter tone Flugel horn) and Ben marks
(trombone) joined mdf in a version of OKTOPHONIE
with the three solos PIETA, SIGNALE and SYNTHI-FOU. This format will be
repeated in Sydney June 6, at
the Conservatorium as part of the Smart Light
Sydney LICHT concerts. An introduction will also be given by
Richard Toop
24.02.09--we
have just
finished up a
successful concert at the Melbourne
Recital Centre
where we played KONTAKTE and
SYNTHI-FOU.

05.02.09--our first trip to Birmingham AL was eventful, we scored a
nice review in the "Birmingham Post" and worked with local composers
from BAMA
including Monroe Golden,
Chuck Mason and Dorethy Hindman
07.11.08--SMQ
(Société
de musique contemporaine du Québec)
and the Université
de
Montreal hosted us in Montreal: thanks again to Walter!
